National Fox Day 2025

On August 8, 1978, the first Fox-Body Mustang rolled off the line in San Jose, California ushering in the Third Generation of Mustangs. Currently the Mustang community celebrates National Mustang Day on April 17th, thanks to late Steve Hall of the Mustang Owner’s Museum. So, why not celebrate the the birthdate of the Fox-Body?

Just like with National Mustang Day. The goal of National Fox Day is to unite all the Fox-Body Mustang enthusiasts on its birthday, by driving their Fox-Body Mustang. Imagine one day a year, Fox-Body Mustangs are everywhere!

To make this happen, it will take Mustang clubs, groups, and individuals to help organize the National Fox Day. How? Organize a cruise, invite friends and neighbors to join as passengers. Put together an event, or cruise in - the ideas are endless.

Just like with National Mustang Day, Window decals will be available for purchase to proudly display that you took part in National Fox Day. National Fox Day apparel will also be available for purchase.

So, let’s get the Foxes fixed up, cleaned up and take to work, let people know you are a Mustang enthusiast, and you will find out so many other Mustang enthusiasts out in the world. Whether you take the Fox on a cruise, or to work, this is the day to drive it!

How are we celebrating National Fox Day? We’re hosting an all-Fox show at the Mustang Owner’s Museum from 10am-2pm on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Just $10 gets you entry into the show, entry to the museum, and a free hot dog and drink! Museum members can register for FREE. Click here to register on the Mustang Owner’s Museum website.

**NOTE** PRE-ORDERS for all of the National Fox Day merchandise will be shipping out around July 29th, in time for the big day. The last day to purchase shirts will be Monday, July 21.
